Job Description

The Responsibilities of the Role:

• Work with consultants in design networks.
• Work with LAN and WAN vendors to identify and solve problems of any networks and the WAN.
• Document the network topology in order to quickly access information needed to make purchases and diagnose problems.
• Implement and maintain network security.
• Assist in maintaining network connections to all administrative staff.
• Create and maintain a remote monitoring system of the network using SNMP and other network management tools in order to maximize network efficiency.
• Maintain an effective system of communication between central office staff, district technicians and campus technology specialists.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skill Requirements:

• A degree in computer science from a recognized university/institute.
• At least three years industry experience in configuring, managing and troubleshooting enterprise class networks.
• In-depth knowledge of all networks, especially those used by the company.
• Interpersonal skills and experience in presenting.
• Problem solving and project management experience.
• Teamwork skills.
• Vendor certification is and added advantage (Cisco, Checkpoint, Fortigate etc).
